YA-MAN started as a developer of precision mechanical equipment such as the optical displacement meter and measuring technology used to calculate the flexure of the renowned Seto Ohashi Bridge that connects the Okayama and Kagawa prefectures.

Launched LASER 21, a high-frequency permanent hair removal device for professionals imported from the US and sold to local Japanese spas and salons.

Developed Kotsuryokei, Japan’s first body fat (BMI) percentage scale for home use. A stand-upon unit, it made its calculations through the soles of the feet.

Launched Platinum Germa Roller, an at-home device replicating the physical tapping benefits of manual lymphatic massage for an instant lifted appearance. After multiple generations and over 2 million units sold in Japan, the technology has been refined into today’s Tornado RF Roller, WAVY and WAVY Mini Face Roller.
